Did somebody mention Travis Williams?
I had the pleasure of watching every one of his kick off returns for touchdowns in 1967. That 41 yard "AVERAGE" is unbelievable.
My favorite return was the 100+ against the Rams late in the season. The kick off went well into the endzone and shortly after Williams ran out of the endzone he got hammered by a Ram and bounced backward a few yards but kept his balance, turned completely around to his left, put on the Road Runner burner, and was off to the endzone and history books!
Ky you are right about his size compared to todays return specialist. He was solid. I always wondered what kind of football player he could have become if Lombardi had stayed at Green Bay and coached Travis to his full potential.
