Anytime you breach the skin you’re opening the route for infection. You really haven’t lived until you’ve got a line in your one-year-old’s jugular vein and femoral artery simultaneously.

That alone is scary but from a detail Standpoint why not shave where they put the tape? That’s just basic stuff.

Seriously, why not put the line in the antecubital space?
