I have to say, poor execution on a sideline kick seems more Masthay's style than 3 kicks OOB when he was not trying to be directional.

He has mishit a bunch, but usually its line drive or short, not 30 yards left or right.
Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

It feels like you hire a guy to drive the golf ball for you. It's his only job. All year long and every week he gets to practice for that one chance to step up into the tee box and hit a high draw.

And when he spends the day shanking, slicing and duck-hooking one part of me says, "wtf? It's your only job!" and another part of me says, "Go easy on the guy...it is more difficult than it looks and he will eventually be really good at it again. Besides he is really good at teeing it up for Crosby."

That second part of me sounds way too much like his mom.
[QUOTE=George Cumby] ...every draft (Ted) would pick a solid, dependable, smart, athletically limited linebacker...the guy who isn't doing drugs, going to strip bars, knocking around his girlfriend or making any plays of game changing significance.

I don't believe today was the nail in the coffin, but his prognosis is not good.

But Mom is right, it took Crosby an entire year to get himself straightened out and shake the influence of Slocum. Masthay has until mid-year before he hits the anniversary.

The thing that bothers me about masthay is that even his good points aren't good. Sf punter struggled today but he at least uncorked a few books. Masthay's "bombs" are like 45 yards
    Go PACK
