I run that same play on the goal line on madden, usually works that easily on madden also.

one side says throw to flat for minus yardage,

the other side says, run up the middle

I agree with some caveats. You just saw M3's version of taking a downfield shot. But how about trying to spring open a guy for 10 yards with motion or a bunch instead of finagling a 25 yard route?

There is something between a 0 yard flat pass and the deep shot to Adams. Like the one pass to Jordy.
