Another embarrassment at Lambeau

I'm sure if you all try hard enough, you can find a way to blame it on Mike Sherman....

We're 5 minutes into this, and you're all proclaiming the "game" over.

WTF? What kind of fans are you all?

Realistic. 0.5% of the entire season was played by 10 points or more down. We spot them 14 and have 2 turnovers on 2 possessions.

Don't know the %'s - but I'd be willing to bet there's only a few in a hundred games that could be turned around after this start.

So, does your theory still hold with 2 turnovers, 14pts, and a 14-7 score with 8 minutes played?

Yep, it's HOPELESS. That Favre guy, no, he won't help. at all.

Did I say impossible - no. Regardless - take those 14 away and think about this - how may of you predicted a 14+ point win? That's what they'll need to move on.

Obviously there's still time.

Have we went back to Grant yet? He needed (and needs) to have a big game in this weather.... How many of you want to play this one without a running game?

<sniff> <sniff> I smell <sniff> a BACKTRACK here..... Yep, <sniff>, that's what it is...

They don't "have" to win by 14. You're assuming that Seattle won't "give away" anything the rest of the game...

I said if they kept playing that way they DESERVE to lose. And yes, a 14 pt spot in under 5 minutes equates to having to win a game outright by 14 - that's just logic RG.

As the game progresses the running game will be key. grant has to shake off the early fumbles and do his thing.

Just got to somewhere I can watch the game - for various reasons, (mainly my own stupidity!) I missed the first quarter and a half. 8-(

Wow, what a hairy beginning! I checked 5 minutes in, and they were down 14-0, then halfway through the second quarter, up 21-17??? I guess both D's stayed at home..

It's been a small sample with Rouse, but I really hope he outplays Collins next preseason because Collins is just not good. He's average.

Bigby is a manimal, toughest player pound for pound on the Packers, a real killer.

Favre is playing out of his mind. Take away the turnovers and the Packers are taking the Seahawks out to the woodshed.

Tausch is doing a great job on Kerney. With the time of possession slanted so far in the Packers favor, Kerney is going to be out of gas by the middle of the 3rd quarter and the Packers can just go with a single blocker on him.

GREAT GAME. I'll sort through the gamethread tomorrow. I'm at my moms right now. Enjoy, everyone.

Brett Favre: 15-19-0 133 yards, 2 TD's
Ryan Grant: 14 rushes, 91 yards 2 TD's. 2 fumbles.

I take back my worries about the Green Bay offense being built on a dome mentality.

C'mon defense. Keep the pressure going. Hasselbeck is looking very shaky when pressured up the middle. I'd send Bigby after him once or twice just to get into his head.

Bigby needs to work on his wrap-up because players do overcome even big hits like his. I think he's having a great game otherwise.

Collins has been posterized the entire first half: he was slow to recover on the TD pass and missed two consecutive open field tackles on the Seahawks field goal drive.

I am expecting more use of Rouse once the nickel and dime packages are worked in.
