I was talking on the phone with my sister from Milton, WI about the great Packer win yesterday. She suddenly changed the conversation and stated, "You cannot come to Lambeau this Sunday for the Giants Game!"

It seems the last two times I have traveled to Lambeau, the Packers lost--the Packer Rats game last October, and the Jacksonville game in December of '05"

I was planning on traveling to Green Bay, crashing on GBRulz' couch, and paying top price for a ticket on Scalper's Alley for next week's game.

Now my own sister bans me from Lambeau!

Guess I'll just have to stay in Oregon and watch it in a warm, dry living room with my ex-Wisconsite buddies... :(

OPF, maybe you should try something along the lines of a pre-season game next season....see if you can break your losing streak that way. Then if that works, go for the big guns. :D

Instead of spending all that money on a plane ticket and to watch the game, One of these might be the route to go. It's just a several hour long drive away in San Fran (http://cgi.ebay.com/MITSUBISHI-WD-62525-DLP-REAR-PROJECTION-62-HDTV-NR_W0QQitemZ270203530491QQihZ017QQcategoryZ61407QQ ssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem)

It is not full HD, just 1280 x 720, I strongly recommend not to buy anything with less than 1920*1080 resolution. Better wait some months, until you get full HD for the same price.

As I have explained to many people, 1080p is overrated. Unless you're going to use the display as a computer monitor, you won't notice a difference unless the TV is 50" or bigger. This is a 62" TV so to notice the benefit of 1080p you would need to be 10 feet from the screen to notice a slight difference and about 8 feet to notice a drastic difference. Most people will not be sitting this close to their display, thus not noticing a difference.

Unless you're using it as a computer monitor or a front-projection theater, I would save the money.

I owned that TV for awhile. It was glorious!

OPA, open all your windows and doors and turn off your heat if you want to simulate being at Lambeau.

Nice, are you going to use it as a monitor as well?

Any chance you bought it from BB? A lot of people have been getting TVs below cost from BB lately.

I am just the opposite. I have never seen the Packers lose a game live. I am 9-0. I have seen 2 games in SD, 1 in Seattle, 1 in Oak, 1 in Phx, and 4 at Lambeau.

How about all of you pitching in for airline tickets and a 2 game tix?

You don't happen to visit the slickdeal forums do you?

I didnt. I went in to get a bracket to mount my friends TV and saw the deal. My 32" Sony CRT has been needing a hammer through the lense for a long time.

That may be an investment seriously worth considering. :D

I'm 5-0 if that helps. 2 Lambeau, 1 MKE, 2 at the Metrodome.

OPF if you wanna go to the game, go to the game, or just go to Green Bay and watch the game at a bar. The environment is pretty kick ass.

OPF, with likely no history at University of Phoenix Stadium, I'd recommend that! Plus, Phoenix is awesome. Go Pack Go!!!!! :D
