Favre Eats Deer Sausage while talking to N.Y. Press

I just read a really funny blog entry by Silverstein off JSonline.

From reading this, Favre is doing some sort of press conference and he's eating some deer sausage that McCarthy gave him and that's when the fun begins. It made me smile. As a hunter, it made me proud...

It is a funny moment because around here people are always bringing sticks of venison sausage to share at work.

And yet the east coast press goes all girly and says, "Ewww! Do you really eat that? What does it taste like?"


And by the way, venison sausage tastes like sausage to me. I always enjoy venison sausage. But since it is customarily a blend of venison with pork or beef, it doesn't taste much different than your usual summer sausage.

My cousin is from New York and he just went back there last November to hunt....gasp...deer. So, you're correct that they do have deer in certain part of New York. You have to get out of the city though and into the mountains a bit.
