they're still calling for cold for sunday

the teams will wake up sunday morning to temps around 10 below zero with wind chills around 30 below

it is suppose to warm up a bit in the late afternoon

at kick off it looks to be about 5 above with winds out of the northwest at about 10mph and windchill of around 5-10 below

if the warm up gets pushed back by just a few hours, we could be looking at a new game of legend on sunday

I've got subzero boots and every article of warmth you can imagine ready for Lambeau. I'm gonna bring some styrofoam for my feet to rest on and rent one of those chairs.

They are handing out free hand warmers - but I'm bringing more.

Heard it is gonna be 1 at kickoff and -2 or so in the 4th Q with wind chills obviously much (much) colder....

Man WI is cold. I miss So Cal.

Sure!!! You HAD to mention the fireplace!! It is SO cold here. It sounds like it will be warmer in GB this weekend then where I'm at. :(

It's definitely single digits here in Green Bay right now, if that. As I was trying to get my car door open (it was frozen shut), I was out there for like 2 minutes and my hands were numb..I don't know how these guys can go without sleeves. It's incredible.

RashanGary
01-18-2008, 08:38 PM
I think it's rediculous to not wear sleeves. They think they're being tough because they played last week in the snow. Wait till they get out there. I don't think any of those guys realize what 0° temperature is really like.

I don't know if any of the Packers players' are planning on going sleeveless after the Chicago game, but I heard the Giants are.

RashanGary

I could play a drive without sleeves. I could play a whole game without sleeves. I know it would drain me though, so I wouldn't do it. It's stupid.

No, a whole bunch of them are. They're talking about it being a tough guy tradition

RashanGary

Well, they better just block it out and play the best 60 minutes they can. Nobody is going to die. They just have to really buckle down and focus. This is when losing to Chicago comes in handy. They are ready to focus and I"m sure they'll have a great heating system on the sidelines.

I think the Packers should one-up them and wear jerseys that are cutoff just below the chest.

(i remember there was a fad of exposed bellies in college football about 15 years ago. Don't see it much anymore.)

Better yet, play naked. Ryan Pickett and Grey Ruegemer going at it nude.

Isn't it more of a stupid guy tradition? I've been in that weather. I won't even be without my parka much less my sleeves...

According to the National Weather Service, Green Bay:

Sunday: Mostly sunny and cold, with a high near 5. Wind chill values between -20 and -30. West wind between 10 and 14 mph.

Sunday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around -7. West northwest wind between 7 and 11 mph.

Forget sleeves, Justin is right. They need battery powered jocks.

NFL Channel now has a scroll that it's expected to be windy for the game. 1) That would suck. 2) Weatherman suck. I said earlier today that it was cold as hell and windy in the Twin Cities, and I was afraid that this would hit Green Bay this weekend. How tough is it for a weatherman to look to see what the weather is like to the west and figure out it's heading towards you.

Listen up little miss patland, our penises give us the power to do all the great man things we do. This is a little known fact to the other side, but it's also the source of our superior intelligence ;)

From now on, I'd like you to refer to them as our little geniuses.

Those of you women who aren't intellectually crippled by your lack of penis may have figured out that our little geniuses are easily manipulated. Getting caught with a prostitute the week of the superbowl, million dollar child support and Bill Clinton are all examples of the effects of our little genius' cryptonite. We can be had. . .

Oh shit, did I say too much?

It's always a tough decision and I don't have enough blood to run both at once.

In regards to wearing sleeves a player whose name escapes me said.....

"I don't need to go sleeveless to show you that I'm tough. I'll show you that I'm tough by whooping your ass all across the field."

That's the right attitude. 8-)

Driver said in the press conference this afternoon that he would rather go sleeveless then chance fumbling. Something about the last time he wore sleeves he fumbled the ball and he would rather be cold then lose a ball.

Were are your seats, so we can look for you?

Not sure I'd be identifiable. When I had 50 yr tickets vs. Vikes (Thur night game), I made the broadcast.

Never been one to make a sign or anything like that - but I believe I'm sitting near those Bikini Girls. IF I see them, I'm begging for a picture and I'll post it here.

holy sh!t is it cold outside. I drove up to Eagle River to get my dog as my parents watch her during the week while I'm gone. The temp outside is -20 and weather.com says the windchill is 42 below. This weekend is the World Champ Snowmobile Derby, so it's a zoo up here. Kinda like the Indy 500 for snowmobiles.

Tomorrow a group of us are all meeting at Sports Corner in DePere. Local rats are welcome to join us!!

If that is the source of your superior intelligence, you really should talk to your doctor about Cialis.

If you need to think, you will be ready!
