You're gold mmmdk, stay right where you are, don't move, keep thinking those thoughts. And for Pete;s sake don't have a halftime wardrobe change!

I'm in shock.

i'm not. i figured we'd start out flat.

Why flat?

So what's next? Packer TD?

Nice play by Driver....he's pretty fast...at first I thought the Giants took bad angles but on replay it looks like Driver just has a helluva 4th gear.

ya, he was going in third gear, he didnt know someone was catching him, and all of a sudden, bam, he took it to another gear, also great stutter step to avoid the tackle. Best play of both games today, easy!! Longest in postseason pack history

channtheman
01-20-2008, 06:39 PM
Not to jinx it, but the Bears game was very similar to this. Bears dominate, go up 6-0. Then we score on a long play. (like Grants TD). Oh I better just shut up.

01-20-2008, 06:40 PM
OK, stop em here, and then get our shit together. I guarantee it.

Out of curiousity, how are you in a position to guarantee it?

Believe it.

Lurker64

It would be if it was called on every play it happens......

I think these sorts of things are like speeding. The highways would be a very different place if they pulled over everybody who speeds, and everybody would spend half their time on the road getting pulled over. So you just pull over enough people to try to give passers by the idea that they probably should watch it a little bit. Even so, a lot of people get away with it when the authorities just don't notice.

It's the same way with illegal contact or offensive holding. You can call it on every play if that's all you're looking for.

Interpreted strictly, the rulebook says that the defensive back shouldn't even touch the receiver beyond five yards, yet it happens, a lot. I think that you likely could call some kind of illegal contact on every play where a defense plays man-to-man and the defensive back doesn't completely screw up in coverage. It might not be every play, but it happens a lot. You get away with it a lot of the time, and it gets called some of the time.

I cant believe they didnt look at that. Why have the system if youre not gonna use it, I guess the refs are cold too. I thought he made a football move. He had it in both his hands, and actually tucked it away into his arm. That could've been a fumble recovery in the end zone.

The Giants have a good running game, they will probably keep the game competitive.

Arent they suppose to review close plays under two minutes , or is that only at the end of the game?

Does anyone know?

In my book it wasn't close; he did not control the ball which he must even though it's the ground that causes the ball to pop out.

Good call - bad Harris.

Does tucking it away into your arm constitute possession? Well, at least either way, no points were given or taken away, it didn't change the outcome.

So far...

1) New York has proven they deserve to be in this game;

2) NY's running game is living up to the hype;

3) Pack needs to help Harris out either by double-team or blitz. I prefer blitz.

4) Scary close due to weather. I'd hate the game turns on a stupid turnover (#38 and #81 fielding kickoffs.

5) Good game but tough to watch for a Packer fan.
