See where the Packers choking failure against the Giants ranks.

I voted for the '98 Vikings--although I thought about the '07 Mavs. It's easier for a team like the Mariners or the Wings to lose in the MLB and NHL playoffs. Those are close to tossups, and the best teams seldom end up winning.

The Packers' choke was not even the worst one in these playoffs so far. The Cowboys were the #1 seed, and failed to win even one playoff game. That's worse than the #2 seed winning one and then losing the next one. Sure, Green Bay's loss was probably good for about two Martys, but Dallas' loss is good for about four.

Of course, I'm hoping for an upset in the Super Bowl that would earn the Pats an unprecedented 6 Martys.

Faulty memories are the only reason the 07 Packers would show up on this list. There were no easy ways the Packers take that game. Not saying they couldn't, but the Giants were talented enough to expose all of their flaws and even gave the Packers multiple opportunities to get back in control. We couldn't take advantage and in the second half we struggled just to get a first down.

A team that was 8-8 (in part, thanks to a friendly end of season schedule) cannot logically become the odds on favorite for the Super Bowl in one year.

Most overnight sensations in the NFL draft in the top ten for years before they suddenly jump up. The Packers have had two top ten picks in how many years?
