After considerable discussion, the Pittsburgh Steelers have decided to keep natural grass at Heinz Field.
Debate about natural grass versus artificial surface intensified in a late November game against the Dolphins where the players played amid loose sod and several inches of standing water. The score of that game was just 3-0 as both offenses were impaired by the conditions.
Compounding the situation at Heinz Field is the fact that field is used both by Pitt(college) and some high school games.
