I feel the same way about No. Wisconsin.

Wherever you live you deal with tradeoffs. Northern Wisconsin still offers affordable housing, low crime rates, less pollution, etc. but I had more than my share of the cold weather and all the life adaptations that go with it.

a "nimrod" is a word that means great hunter. So nutz is a nimrod. (I think Nimrod was a guy in the bible who was an ace in the woods. ) So nimrods is approprite name for the Indians.

"nimrod" also has come to mean jerk-off, which also is approprite for.... well, see above.

When exactly does it start getting warm? Got cold in November this year making this winter seem extra long. At this point, I'd settle for 40+. The window scraper has been over-used this year.

As soon as you book your ticket to Florida.

I mean, that's Murphy's Law, right? You take a vacation to escape the cold and suddenly where you live is experiencing record highs. Ok, or at least 40, making it feel like a record high.

I saw some of the first piles of thawing dogshit my neighbors dog left in my front yard over the winter......I WILL make him clean them up.

If a butterfly were to alight on that dogshit, it would make a charming picture. Very poignant - the triumph of beauty over shit.

Ummm....I'll have to check with my boss first. He's all for being artistic, but this may be pushing the limit a little bit.

We also had sparrows arguing over the nest on the front porch light that I forgot was there. Looks like another spring of pissed off sparrows any time I try to get the mail.

I just noticed. The first batch of bird eggs has hatched. They are not so pretty, but if anyone wants to see pics of day-old birds they will be ready later.
