Richard Seigler, a former reserve linebacker for the Pittsburgh Steelers, became available to play in the NFL yesterday. He had charged with being a pimp in a prostitution ring. The Steelers dropped him soon after he was charged.

Yesterday, he was cleared of all charges.

When Seigler played for the Oregon State Beavers, I was very impressed with his ferocious style of play and believed he had pro football potential.

He and Nick Barnett actually played together on the same team. Seigler played the Middle with Barnett playing outside linebacker. I believe it was the year of 2001 when Oregon State overwhelmed Notre Dame in The Cotton Bowl

Here is more about Seigler:

Doesn't this belong in the "Unlikely Pimp" thread in that other room?

Why would you take on a character risk like this for a RESERVE position? It is a stretch when you consider an impact player with character issues...but a reserve? Don't waste your time.
