Oregon running back Jonathan Stewart had successful surgery on his big toe last Wednesday.

His agent maintains that Stewart will be ready for NFL training camp in July. It will be interesting to see how the surgery affects his draft status.

Two words..Willis McGahee.

His entire knee was blown apart, he needed a year plus to be ready, and where did he go in the draft again, 23rd overall? Someone will pick him in the first.

I still would love to see the Packers draft him. He seems like a good power type back, and he would compliment Grant nicely. The two would give GB a 1 / 2 punch.

I heard Stephen Colbert is having shoulder surgery this week.

I wonder how that's going to go.

Todd McShay (not sure if that's how you spell it) just said that Stewart's stock is dropping quite a bit and he expects him to go in the early second round. If that's the case, I would love to see the Packers pick him in the first.

I'd be all about Green Bay picking Stewart as another playmaker to alternate with Grant.

Of course TT took Brandon Jackson in round two last year so I don't see it happening

I depends, B. If BJack is what he anticipated when he selected him, then no, I don't expect we'll see Stewart in a Packer uni. If he's not what TT was hoping for, I don't think it really matters what round he was drafted in. TT will look for someone better.
