Was crusing the city-data forums out of boredom and came across the Wisconsin forum. It seems like it is really a love it or hate it state.

What say the rats?

Grew up there, but have no interest in moving back.

It's where I was born and grew up there and love the state and visiting it often throughout the year, but have no desire to move back.

Honestly I could be a snow bird. Leave in December and come back in April.

I was born and raised in Wisconsin. I like visiting there 3 seasons of the year. I try to stay away during the other six months. :)

Wisconsin has attractive features: affordable housing, low crime rates, friendly people, etc. I have just have too many years of cold Wisconsin winters.

It would be very difficult for me to move back.

Puts hair on your peaches.

That's the exact reason I moved away.

If global warming would just kick in, I could move back, but not until -50 degree wind chills are unheard of. I just don't do minus temps.

Born and grew up there...no interest in returning. Taxes are ridiculously high and the weather sucks ass 6 months of the year. June-August are great months to visit, but I'll pass on living in Wisconsin again.

I kind of like it. Milwaukee is the perfect place to be a college kid in the spring and fall. In the summer it is a little hot but after the sun goes down it is perfect.

My girlfriend loves it more than anyone in the world I am convinced. I would not mind moving down somewhere warmer after college but she has vetoed this notion over and over again. I did get her to crack and say if I got a good job in SV she'd go with me and spend any of our extra income on buying a house somewhere more affordable.

Grew up in Illinois and moved to Wausau in 1996. Taxes are higher, but I wouldn't go back. Just wish the beautiful autumn weather lasted longer.

I am going to Arizona in less than 24 hours to look for a mexican nanny. I might not come back to Wisconsin
