Hooray, our 5th and 7th (and likely our compensatory pick/picks) are earlier now!

Bastards - that's nasty.

Thought teams were smarter about this sort of thing. Don't know how they could've possibly thought this was within the rules.

If the phone call to Rosy was returned, I think we'd all love to see him get a slap too

Pretty pathetic that they cheated and still didn't get Briggs. I wonder what the penalty would have been if the 49ers had been able to sign Briggs.

I'm sure Rosenhaus somehow expects to curry favor with the league by ratting out the whiners.

Harsher penalty then that patriots got if you ask me.

Carolina and NO (NFC rivals of Chi) get leapfrogged by the Bears in the 3rd round. For something neither team had anything to do with?

Roger G just pulled another screw-up.

I don't get this either, why would the Bears be compensated for something the 49ers did wrong?

Agreed. If they wanted to further punish them, why didn't they just move them to the bottom of the round? Unless they feel Chicago was hurt by this, by having to pay Briggs more money or something.

If the Bears lose Briggs, I saw at the super market yesterday that Oprah is up to 246 pounds. Maybe they can offer her a contract.
