"Rodgers, a first-round draft pick in 2005, played on a national stage three times in relief of Favre -- on a Monday night game in Baltimore in 2005, during the Thursday night contest in Dallas last season, and in the waning moments of the playoff victory over Seattle in January -- but this will make for an even bigger spotlight on Favre's successor."
I thought Rodgers played against the Pats in 2005. The game where Favre got hurt and we got beat like 35-0. No?

A-rod played against the Pats in 2006; you're absolutely right on the score.
Two weeks in a row at Lambeau in 2006: Jets 38, Pack 10; Pats 35, Pack 0. Ugh.

I'd say you've got a good memory. Those are the 2006 games I've stricken from my memory banks.
ARod was 12 for 4 (33.3%)
32 yards, no picks, no touchdowns.
Brett was 5 for 15 in the same game, so Rodgers broke even for us.

He played on a national stage. That means a game when no others are on. Sunday afternoon games aren't on a national stage.
