He had a crappy pro day but some guys don't train for it, LT's don't grow on trees, he had a great college carrer, maybe M3 can whip him into shape.

His slow 40 yard 5.5 second time does not have much relevance for his pro potential, IMO. How often does a left tackle run 40 yards during game time?

I am more interested in his run and pass blocking ability as well as the quickness of his lateral movement.

o-linemen shouldn't even run the 40 IMO

Thats not necessarily true, im not saying that 40 times are extremely important for linemen but they are a little bit, if one tackle runs a 5 and another runs a 5.5 it helps you distinguish the athlete

I agree with Woodson.

Sure, a 40 time isn't really that applicable to a OL prospect...but a 5.5 time certainly raises red flags. It speaks to the overall athleticism of the player when compared to other times.

In other words, Baker better have exceptional technique and fundamentals. He's going to need them.

They clock them for 10 yards for burst as well when they run the 40. That is something that is relevant to an OL.
