I think it is time for Tyrone and Tex to be put in lockdown, 10 days for roughing. Put them in a cell together and let them work all the piss & vinegar out of their systems. Ten days of smelling each other's bowel movements from that shared, open toilet will be appropriately humbling. And maybe they'll even bond.

If Nutz posts anymore Pork Porn pictures in the Romper Room, he may have to spend some time in the big house.

I second the vote for Harlan to the Lockdown. Only because it put it up to two votes and if there are enough votes maybe we will actually see someone put in there.

nobody has done anything, you dumb ass. I was just trying to interject a little humor into Ty & Tex's tiresome catfight. public sentiment seems to be that i am guilty of meddling and should be incarcerated.

Partial: What am I going to do with you? You simply won't... die. Are we so different, you and I? You take life when you have to... as I do.
GoPackGo: I have only one more life to take. Then it is done.
Partial: Then take it now.
[GoPackGo pauses, then turns around and walks away]
Partial: They tell me your son...
[GoPackGo stops]
Partial: ...squealed like a girl when they nailed him to the cross. And your wife... moaned like a whore when they ravaged her again and again... and again.
GoPackGo: The time for honoring yourself will soon be at an end.
[Bows head]
Partial: The general who became a slave. The slave who became a gladiator. The gladiator who defied an emperor. Striking story! But now, the people want to know how the story ends. Only a famous death will do. And what could be more glorious than to challenge the Emperor himself in the great arena?
GoPackGo: You would fight me?
Partial: Why not? Do you think I am afraid?
GoPackGo: I think you've been afraid all your life.

I'm all about peace and love and harmony. How could anybody ever suggest otherwise?

Politics is just a game--a lot like football which we watch or tennis or golf that we play. You talk trash to and about your opponents--rub their noses in it when you kick their ass--and enjoy doing so.

Politics is just slightly bigger stakes, though--life and death, right and wrong, good and evil, comfort and bad times, etc.

Tyrone knows (I hope) that I don't have any malice for anybody on the forum level--leftist politicians, leftist media, etc.--those either trying to harm this country or merely doing so by idiocy, yes, I have plenty of malice for them.

I forgot all about the "Detractors". I think the "Detractors" were the ones that wanted Shermy out. I can't remember, looks like the "Detractors" knew what they were talking about.

I think the "Detractors" also doubted Favre on occasion. It was funny though....and then Mad would come along with a pic of Favre on his tractor.

Nutz, I was searching for that review you wrote of the practice you went to when you sat near the player's wives....can't find it. That was classic! What year was that?

Yeah, I guess I haven't used DETRACTOR much lately.

As I recall, I coined the term with regard to Packer stuff the off-season after we went 12-4, and Sherman had a career record of something like 52-28 for his career, yet some people were whining. Then what was it, 10-6 next? And the DETRACTORS got larger in number and more irrational in their rants. I think it was at that point that Sherman lost the GM job.

Then we had the injury-ruined 4-12 season, and all the DETRACTORS claimed vindication. Sherman got fired, and the rest is history.

I've probably used the word as much for anti-Thompson people in the early years too, though.

The key has been that even though the detractors got their way, and Sherman got run out of town, the replacements were essentially Sherman-esque. Some people might not believe that about Thompson, who has been cheaper than Sherman with regard to the cap, etc., but my two major requirements for a GM after Sherman were these: Stay the hell away from high price other team free agents AND don't stupidly tear down the team to rebuild. In those two key areas, Thompson has followed the Wolfe/Sherman tradition. As for a coaching successor, I said, get a cerebral coach, rather than some shallow motivation-type, AND don't go out and get some big name big ego big salary coach; Basically pick some sharp unknown, similar to Sherman when he came to Green Bay.

So while DETRACTORS may feel vindicated for hounding Sherman out of town, and having the team bounce back rapidly. I, too, feel vindicated because the success we see now has been done the good way--basically the Shernan way.

I'm detecting a lack of understanding on the part of some of what Zool had in mind to use the oil and jello for.

Or am I just a dirty old man reading something in that wasn't really there?

Somehow, I don't think cooking had much to do with it.
