A number of outstanding senior college players across the country received serious injuries during their last year of college. For many of them, the injuries were so severe they could not compete at the NFL combine, or at most, did minimal workouts there.

Many of them with NFL potential will likely not be drafted or even be invited to NFL camps as free agents. Some of those drafted would have been drafted in an earlier round had they not received the injury.

Below is a great article on how four Oregon Ducks football players are working through their injuries to become eligible for the draft. They include receivers Brian Paysinger and Cameron Colvin, tailback Jonathan Stewart, and QB Dennis Dixon.

If you saw the Michigan-Oregon game on national TV last season, you saw what an integral part these four guys played in a powerful Ducks offense. The article does not mention impressive junior tailback Jeremiah Johnson, who tore his ACL midway through the season.
