Why not? He barely cut the mustard kicking in a southern stadium that is mostly covered. His first name's "Billy." His last name sounds vaguely anatomical.

He played for the Cowboys. His mother once stole twenty dollars from a seven year old kid. He's trying to replace Ryan Longwell.

See? He's awful, isn't he?

I thought he was from Iowa?

Midwestern boy, corn fed, kicked outdoors plenty in his youth, should be one of the "packer people" TT&MM have been talking about. He's got a stronger leg than Longwell and should at least be way better at kickoffs .

If there's gonna be a scapegoat it'll be the O-line!

Cap'n, I think you're confusing him with Ross Verba.

Besides, it's not as much fun to blame an entire position group. Pick a guy!

Good idea Fritz, but I'm not through blaming Longwell yet.

He's not a complete hack--like Sander. If you throw out his rookie year and his injury plagued year last year, he's been solid (23 of 29 and 20 of 26). He's young enough to get better, and he's got a pretty strong leg. Kickers will often bounce around before making it. Neil Rackers and David Akers are two of the best in the game, but Rackers bombed in Cincy and Akers bombed in Washington before finding success.
