He's 5'7" (Update.. I errouneously said he was 5'9" earlier.)

Coach McCarthy had an interesting quote today on Beaver :

Question : (Justin Beaver is a longshot, but what did you think of him, and what does he have to do to be able to come back in July?)

McCarthy : "He's quick as a hiccup, as they explained, or as advertised. I thought he did a nice job. He plays with both excellent pace and tempo. He's got an excellent spirit just the little that I've seen."

I thought the same thing. But they're going to have 13 WR's and at least 5 TE's in camp. Running out of "80's" :

Here's coach Robinson with the Receivers today :

L - R :
17 Johnny Quin 6'0", 209, North Texas
6 Tai Smith 6'0", 192, Syracuse
18 Rod Harper 6'0", 209, Murray St.
87 Jordy Nelson 6'3", 217, Kansas St.
13 Jake Allen 6'4", 190, Mississippi College
16 Brett Swain 6'0", 194, San Diego St.

i dont get the rip on Bubba... he gave us his all and what else can u ask from a player? Was he a as great as a first round pick as we wanted? nope... but he did go to 3 pro bowls and was a dominate red zone threat when he was in his prime for brett favre... no need to bash this guy what so ever.. show some class

Who is #13 in the picture? He looks to be about 6'5" or more, assuming Nelson is over 6'2".

Nice bunch of Beaver shots there. Ya gotta love a small Beaver with good moves.

Maybe Thompson's making a statement--leave Booty alone, Just in Beaver.

I'm still kinda wondering why TT traded with the Queens - it seemed fairly inconsequential, to give up that fifth for an extra seventh, one of which he traded away for a sixth next year anyway.

Is he so confident that he's starting to mess with other teams? You know, like screw up a little on purpose to make it a challenge? What was up with that move?

Ted is growing tired with the job and is trying to make things more interesting. He's out of control. I've heard reports that said he was snorting lines of cocaine between picks.

RashanGary

I can see it now, Ted burries his nose in a big pile of coke and angerly inhales as much as he can. He lifts his head wildly licking the cocaine off his face while simulaniously pulling his hair out. Ted screams "Fu**ing pick you god damn cowards - just make your f***ing picks".

Ted stands up and paces back and forth. He turns to Reggie McKenzie and says, "Just trade our fu**ing pick to the queens". McKenzie says, "but they probably want Booty, are you sure you want to get beat down by John David Booty for the next 15 year?". Ted loses control, "just f***ing do it. DO IT YOU PIECE OF SHIT." now screaming uncontrollably"NOW!!"" Ted walks over to the corner of the room and just pounds his chest for a few minutes, growling and trembling with anger. Later that night, Ted leaves 1265, picks up a prostitute and takes out his aggression on a paid professional.

From this point forward the 2008 draft should be known as the the beginning of the end.

Justin Beaver may be very much a long shot, but the guy is very much in shape. He looks absolutely ripped!

Some of those small guys are remarkably strong for their size. When I work out at the local "Y" there is a guy about 5'8" who works out about the same time. He puts on weights that are about 4-5 times the weights I use. :)

It is almost embarrassing for me to be in the same room with this "Workout Warrior."

Wouldn't it be interestin if GB wins a Super Bowl with the starting team offense :

Aaron Rodgers QB
Justin Beaver HB
Korey Hall FB
Jordy Nelson WR
Brett Swain WR
Ryan Krause TE (they sign him up again)
Chad Clifton LT
Jason Spittz LG
Scott Wells C
Alan Barbre RG
Mark Tauscher RT

another Bird/McHale/Ainge/Walton Celtics type "South Africa's team".

might tend to continue stereotypes about northern Wisconsin though.
