View Full Version : K-Rob Rumor

I live in Raleigh, NC and a friend just outside Raleigh who lives 6 doors down from a house K-Rob owns (he went to school at NC State) said it just got raided by police who were 'executing a warrant'. It's a nice neighborhood, too. Guarantee they've never been raided by cops before.

Anyways, I'm hoping either my friend was wrong about the house or it has nothing to do with K-Rob, because it doesn't make sense with everything we've heard about how well he's doing. But if it does, the Jordy Nelson pick looks a bit better now...

Oh Shit; did Mad set up shop there

Seriously, I hope it's not true and KROB turns his life around and makes in back with NFL success

My sister's boyfriend's father said that he heard from his waitress' hair dresser that someone saw cops running into K-Rob's RV which is currently being rented out to his wife's cousin's best friend. SUSPEND HIM ASAP!

KOREN TO BE CUT?
Posted by Mike Florio on May 9, 2008, 2:37 p.m.
A league source tells us that the Green Bay Packers are planning to release receiver Koren Robinson. The move could come as soon as today.

Per the source, the Packers hope to go younger at the position. They recently added Jordy Nelson in the 2008 draft, and the roster already features young players like Greg Jennings and James Jones.

Per the source, the team initially gave Robinson an opportunity to line up a trade, but other teams apparently have opted to wait for him to be cut.

Robinson is signed through 2008, at a base salary of $730,000.

why wouldn't they just bring him into camp??? do the packers have to many players at the moment ???

They may be tight on roster space if rosters don't increase to 86. Cutting him now gives him a better chance to hook up with another team before camp. Cutting him now (before camp) gives more opportunities to marginal players who might have a better up-side.

No kidding and given time I predict he'll reach perfection in that regard. Well. . . . it will take about 6 years. :D

I figured. I really saw no need for this guy, he was only slightly above average with his returns in 2007. The knee took away his speed.

I think he was still better than Martin...

I don't know, I was never a Martin fan... Hopefully he gets beat out in camp...

Last year when K-Rob was activated, it just took playing time away from Jones. No point having him around to slow down the development of the young guys unless he's clearly better than they are. He's not.

This should provide the ultimate test of how badly the Vikings want our retreads. Will they like him better now that the purple has worn off?

They could let KRob room with Jared Allen during training camp.

I don't like that the headlines are reading, "Packers release troubled Robinson". Sounds like he was a problem in GB and he was not. Good old media....anything to make a headline sound more interesting.

On the Monday after the draft, Robinson's agent, Alvin Keels said, the Packers told him that Robinson would be on the bubble if he came to training camp and they asked him if he would like them to release his client.

Very classy move by T.T. I would have liked to see how healthy he was though in training camp... He is only 28, he still has a lot left in him (if healthy)...

heres the answer to the rumor. the rumor was true, it was k-robs house, but it was because of his brother.

good job getting us the scoop a few days before the real guys, even if it wasn't the whole story

from pft

KOREN’S BROTHER GETS BUSTED
Posted by Mike Florio on May 10, 2008, 8:10 p.m.

As receiver Koren Robinson hits the open market after a stint with the Packers, which followed a one-year suspension, he’ll now have something else to explain to any teams that might be interested in him.

Robinson’s brother, Tariq, has been arrested for trafficking in ecstasy. (Not the emotion, the drug.) The potential problem as it relates to Koren is that Tariq lives with Koren.

The good news is that investigators say there’s no evidence that Koren was involved. Still, that extra question mark could be enough to scare some teams away.

We’ve previously reported that the Chiefs and Raiders have shown mild interest in Robinson, a top-ten draft pick in 2001.

i'd just like to say 'thank you' to all the people that made this possible: my parents for having me, steve jobs for making my computer, al gore for inventing the internet...

seriously, whenever any green bay packers with houses in the Raleigh area have their houses raided by the cops, i'm on top of it for you guys...

glad it wasn't k-rob that got in trouble, i hope he gets a chance to play this year
