Marco Rivera, the Packers' starting right guard from 1999 to 2004, was forced to leave football because of serious back problems. That didn't keep him from having a remarkable retirement party.

Rivera, 36, and his pals got together a couple of weekends ago around the pool at the Suncoast Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, according to the Las Vegas Review-Journal. The group included former Packers linemen Mike Flanagan, Joe Andruzzi and Grey Ruegamer, along with some of Rivera's former Dallas Cowboys teammates.

When the party moved to a nightclub at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino for dancing, Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo was dragged away by his girlfriend, singer Jessica Simpson, according to Fox News and the Dallas Morning News. They made off to their 5,000-square-foot penthouse suite, which has a 500-square-foot master bathroom and a private bowling alley.

Oh my. I would have been so jealous in December 2007. Then I met my new bride in January.....

Anything that postpones the need to put that OU basket weaving degree to use is a good thing for Torrance Marshall.

Because, like the NFL, in basket weaving one cannot rely on athletic ability alone. Ride that Arena train for all it's worth.

As for Romo, glad to see the drama hasn't let up.

Hahahaa...good to see Romo being reined in, albeit by a skank like Jessica Simpson. I've had 5 chicks much hotter than that fake ass trailer groupie in the past coupla years. What is with that untalented skank and why do peeps think she's hot??

I can't believe TM is still playing ball

Not surprised Grey was at Riviera's party. I think they only played together for one year, but they were both real brawlers!

BTW I can't believe Jessica Simpson has crept into another thread here!

Ya know, it's just not a real Torrance Marshall thread without Lorie. :(

Did that thread happen in JSO or in that brief Christian interlude place?

That was JSO, immediately before the hacker started hacking...

Man, I loved that thread!

I really thought Torrance Marshall was going to be a stud for the Pack and couldn't figure out why he never caught on. I kind of whiffed on that one.

Thanks, Tar.

One wonders if either "Purgatory" or "Limbo" could be used pseudonomize the old place we used between JSO and Packerrats.

Didn't the thread begin with Lorie looking for Torrance and inquiring among Packer bloggers, as if we somehow might know his whereabouts? I only remember reading a few pages that were pretty nasty--like a late night profane stupid drunken shouting fight taken off of the street and plopped into a thread. You know, where the mostly sober guys yell across the street to provoke the mostly drunk chick.
