Brett Favre reportedly sent Packers GM Ted Thompson a text message over the weekend.

The text's content is unknown, but Thompson replied that he is on vacation and the two could speak later, according to WTMJ-Milwaukee. Thompson has also ignored calls from Favre's agent and sent an intermediary to talk to Favre at his Mississippi home. Thompson can avoid Favre all he wants, but if Brett requests to be taken off the retired list, Thompson must grant his wish.

FACT: Brett Favre has not filed his retirement papers.

I guess that means he techinically is not retired yet.

I bet all those people that rushed out and spent a pile of money for tickets to the Packer/Viking game to see Favre's jersey retire are kinda ticked.

They'll really be ticked if Favre is there as a Viking. :bang:

There can be no worse outcome of the Favre situation than to have him end up beating the Packers as the QB of the Vikings or Bears. That would be intolerable. It seems inconceivable!
