JETS WELCOME CARROLL

After spending the first part of the offseason signing guys who ended up being big on money, the New York Jets are closing out the offseason by inking a guy who is arguably light on character. And talent.
The Jets have announced the acquisition of defensive back Ahmad Carroll, a one-time first-round pick of the Packers.
He was the 25th overall selection in 2004, but was cut by Green Bay in 2006 after repeatedly being burned like bacon in a brick oven during a game against the Eagles.
Carroll landed in Jacksonville. The Jaguars released him in May 2007 after an arrest on gun and drug (Ecstasy) charges.
Out of football in 2007, Carroll played for the Orlando Predators of the Arena Football League in 2008, starting in 15 of 16 games.
To make room on the roster, the Jets dumped rookie free agent Nate Lyles.

The guy sucks big-time,he can’t go four plays in a row without a defensive holding call. He was projected to be a fourth or fifth round draft pick when he came out of college and Mike Sherman picked him in the first round. The only thing that saved Carrol from taking a ton of heat was the fact that Sherman traded up in the third round for a punter that never made the team that year. Sherman was possibly the worse GM in the game if it weren’t for matt millen in Detriot and whoever is in place at MN.

Yea Sherman was as crappy as they come. Third round punter will never lose its humor.

Yup, that was another Sherman bust amongst several others. I’m surprised we kept him that long.

Gun charges & ecstacy.Any Jests fans who even can say bleep about Kazur are a joke.One again the red headed stepchild in the NY market makes another great aquisition What a sorry organization from top to bottom.Heres to 40 years of futility.Not to worry, you can draft your QB of the future with the first pick of the 2009.Time to start planning for Ratgini’s replacement
