Grant's agent optimistic after latest talk with Packers
Ryan Grant remains in New York while the Packers seek clarification from the NFL regarding his agent's latest contract proposal.
Agent Alan Herman said this afternoon he has "cautious optimism" after a conversation Friday morning with Russ Ball, the Packers' negotiator. There appears to be little or no chance Grant will report in time to practice on Monday morning, because significant details remain to be worked out, but Herman said the latest developments are positive
