tough to say. Cowboys had the early eighties and the 90's. The Niners have fallen off now, but they were dominant for 15 years until 1995. The Broncos have to be up their also. The have been to like 5 Sb's since 1980 and won 2, and they are still perennially a powerhouse team. It seems to me that they have spent the least amount of time rebuilding so I would go with them as far as being consistantly a good to great team.

If we are talking the last 25 years, then SF is the clear winner. Not only have they been very competitive over a good portion of that time, they also have rung up quite a number of Super Bowl wins. They also were the team that produced other championship caliber coaches like Holmgren, Gruden, Reid, etc. It isn't even a contest.

Since 1992 I doubt there are many (overall and combined) regular season records better than the Packers.

1992 - 2005 = 140-84

1995 - 2005 = 113-63

Does anyone know where this overall W-L record since 1992 ranks amoung the other teams in the league? Has to be one the best.......doesn't it?

1995 - 2004 = 109-51

Was that ten year run the best in the league?

Are you only basing your judgment on how many SB rings a team has since 1980? Suppose we need to know what the criteria is for determining the "best team since 1980".

There have been lots of one year wonders (Ravens, Bucs, Steelers) and few long-string SB winners since free agency started.

My guess would be the Cowgirls or 49ers if you're judging by SB rings. Perhaps the Packers or the Bills or Broncos if you consider regular season records (and not just SB rings).

Up until last year, the Packers had more wins under Brett than any other team. From 80's on - I'd say the Niners with confidence.

The Steelers rank pretty high also. The Broncos always seem to be pretty good.
