View Full Version : nfc super bowl favorites?
well, things just changed in a big way IMO
we now have to be considered to be among the very elite in the nfl and one of if not the favorite to represent the nfc in the superbowl
if favre beats out a-rod we are in great shape. if a-rod proves he can beat out brett then we are in even better shape
that is of course if there is truth to this latest info and we end up ok at DT

I was reading one of the Vegas sites on favorites (sorry I didn't keep the site for reference) and for the Super Bowl it had the Packers 6-1 prior to Favre's retirement and 12-1 after.

good thing I put 100 down a couple months ago for the packers to go 8-8 or better... 8-)
Now that bet looks even better than it did while I was drinking kool-aid with A-Rod...

Hold on there, everybody.
Just because Favre is coming back let's not get too far ahead of ourselves.
Look how many were predicting 7-9, 8-8 and we got 14-4 last year. Just because #4 is riding in on his white horse, doesn't mean that we are a lock for the NFC title.

I honestly don't see much improvement in our chances with a declining Favre this year compared to an improving Rodgers.
However, having Favre on our roster would improve our chances simply by adding reliable depth at QB. Brohm's not ready yet.

This time last week, I would've thought we would need Gilbert Brown...just to dig someone's grave (TT or MM).

Anyone have the Cowgirls and Giant's odds? I've been seeing some magazine publications picking the Cowgirls and the Eagles over the Giants in their own division. Must suck to be a Giants fan, err....other than that Super Bowl win a few months ago, lol. :P
