As the Favre turns, we’ve been told that Bucs G.M. Bruce Allen is nowhere to be seen at practice on Tuesday. The official word is that he had a previously-scheduled meeting “out of town,” and that Allen isn’t in Green Bay.
Still, folks with knowledge of the organization tell us that it’s unusual, if not unprecedent, for Allen to be missing from a training camp practice.
It’s possible that Allen isn’t in Green Bay, but that’s he’s in some other location working on a potential trade for Packers quarterback Brett Favre. If Bus Cook isn’t in Green Bay with Favre, then Allen very well could be in Mississippi with Cook.
Or maybe Allen is simply having his annual colonic.
Regardless, the bizarre circumstances regarding the Favre situation and the fact that Allen rarely if ever misses practice makes this worth mentioning.
