Oh, well.

Damn, I wanted Tampa.

Why? I wanted the team that offered the most. Presumably that was the Jets.

I wanna be like "yay it's over ... "

But damn ... it's not even close to over.

Gonna be a long season either way. Hopefully a real good one with A-Rod silencing the critics. If he doesn't, it's gonna make this a lot worse.

I hope Brett kicks ass though. I'm not scared of the Jets, but I could also see him just gettin killed up there (although I havent followed em too much)

I bought tickets to the Tampa/Packers game hoping he'd play there.

Favre has been the Packers QB for as long as I've been watching football and although It will be sad to see him pull on another teams green jersey, I am glad the drama is over with for now. As far as I'm concerned, Favre's previously legendary status is a little tarnished, oh well, good luck to him and the jets

Fucking awesome. At least you still get to see the Pack. What's so bad about that? How come you didn't have tickets even before this saga?

Well, I guess I was wrong about nothing happening--MAYBE, anyway--this SEEMS to be true, although not necessarily.

All I can say is, better the Jets than Tampa, and far better than the Vikings or Bears.

Still great, but I've never seen Favre play. Woulda been cool to see him, especially in a scenario like it woulda been.

Don't let it worry ya Tex, no one had it square the whole time. I can't wait to see if Favre can tear apart another Belicheck defense.

Finally get to move on from this mess.

Best of luck, Brett. Will miss watching you every Sunday. Won't miss seeing your name in the headlines every second, every day for months.

So if the Jets cut Pennington, is he worth a look as a serviceable backup?

Just imagine Mike Greenberg's utter glee tomorrow morning on Mike and Mike in the Morning. Only question is, what will be his theme music for Favre?

Maybe--depends on how much they have to pay him.

I'm answering my own question. If Ryan looks like a bust in training camp, then you consider bringing Pennington in as your #2 for this year and allow Brohm to develop as the #3. If Ryan looks like a potential keeper, then you stick with Rodgers, Brohm, Ryan.

How quickly do you think he'll develop as the #3? Not very quickly I'd presume. They don't get very many reps.
