The Packers will discuss the Brett Favre trade to the New York Jets today at noon at the Lambeau Field media auditorium.

Packers President/CEO Mark Murphy, General Manager Ted Thompson and head coach Mike McCarthy are scheduled to appear.

UPDATE: The Jets have said that Brett Favre will hold a 5 p.m. (CDT) news conference in Cleveland, where the Jets play their exhibition opener tonight.

The more I think about it, the less I think TT and Packers management dragged this out more than a couple days. Brett Favre on the other hand appears to be the one who dragged this out for a month prior. I think maybe if Favre would have been reinstated at the beginning of July that he'd have found a new home 3 weeks ago.

This whole thing has really only taken a couple days. There is nothing Green Bay could do until Goodell had reinstated him. The more I think about it, the less I think TT and Packers management dragged this out more than a couple days.
