How do you think it will play out?
I think he will play well in the preseason, but will take about until week 4 to get acclimated into the offseason.
I see a 7-9 season with 20 touchdowns, 20 interceptions and 3500 yards.
Although, I will watch the Jets and cheer for Favre, I don't see this going well.

I see an 8-8 season with them missing the playoffs. I believe Brett will have 22 TD's, 18 INT, with 3000 yards.

As much as I like Favre, and undobtedly think Green Bay would fare much better with him as their starter, I see Favre struggling with the Jets over the course of the year.
Sixteen years in his comfort zone, and now he is completely out of it and has to learn new terminology and get use to new players without the benefit of OTA's or much time in camp.
I see about 23TD's, 3300 Yards, and 15 INT's. Decent year, very on and off from game to game.
I see the Jets winning 7-8 games and Green Bay getting the third rounder I predicted them to receive around a month ago.

I've said this on other threads: I don't think Favre will have a good year.
Bretsky has mentioned some good reasons; add to that an offseason in which Favre did not put in the time and effort he has said in the past he needs to in order to get his cranky old body to do what he wants it to do on the football field.
And I have always steadfastly maintained you can't buy or trade your way to the top just because the players you acquire have big names. And this is just what the Jets have tried to do. Woody, Fanika, Favre, and I think they've bought a couple others as well. I see it failing, and thus Favre failing as well.
Add to that my own hypothesis that Favre really isn't happy about how this turned out and that he's not going to be able to get over it emotionally, and it adds up to a season that's going to be poor.

I know you're going to slam me for this, but I get the sense he's gonna suck meatballs...He's not familiar with the offense, he's admitted he's not in as good of shape as his teammates and who's he throwing the ball to again?

They should have three good receiving options; about average there....but no depth. Laverneus Coles, Jericho Cotchery, and the first round pick at TE may be alright.

And a certain 3 time pro bowl TE.

The Jets have one of the easiest schedules - two games against Miami, games against Oakland, St. Louis, San Fran should all be wins - along with some non-heavyweights - KC, 2 games against Buffalo, Arizona, Denver - should produce at least an 8-8 record.
I would expect 24 TDs, 18 ints - 3800 yards.

I was basing the number of wins on the fact that the Jets have a cupcake schedule this year, playing both Wests and Miami twice. That should be 9 wins for any competent team.

The Jets do have an easy schedule...and I think the new surroundings will rejuvinate Favre to an extent.
I'm guessing he gets out of the gates slow...tough opponents and getting used to his surroundings. By week 4 or 5, I think he'll hit his stride...and put together a strong 6-8 games. THen I think he'll start to wear down when December rolls around.
23 TDs, 17 INTs, 3600 yards, 84 QB rating

I won't guess stats, but I think he'll struggle. I think he would have struggled even playing for the Pack.

I think you all forget a couple of important facts the Jets have a RB who rushed for over 1100 yards with no QB whatsoever to shield him if T. Jones stays healthy and Brett is in the backfield he may get 1500+ this year their o-line is light years ahead of the Packers as far as run blocking. I will guess Brett's production will be down in volume but there may be a lot less pressure on him.

I think he'll do fine. He'll play against some super shitty teams and they'll pass a lot. I'll say 25 TD 16 INT 3500 yards.

I predict 7 or 8 wins for Favre and the Jets. it will be a significant improvement over last years 4 wins.
I also think Favre will struggle during the first half of the season.
