Now that's the type of name you want on your defense. Can't find anything on him accept that he's got wheels. From KFFL.com:

J.J. Pesavento, of Next Level Scouting, reports Sam Houston State CB Scorpio Babers worked out at University of Texas-El Paso's Pro Day March 7 [2008]. Babers ran a 4.36 and a 4.37 40-yard dash, had a 33-inch vertical jump, a 10-foot, four-inch broad jump. He measured in at 5-foot-11 and 191 pounds. Babers worked out with the Jacksonville Jaguars defensive backs coach.

Wasn't Bigby also a castoff of the Phins?

J.J. Pesavento. Wonder if hes related to Bobby Pesavento, the former University of Colorado QB.

Harvey, you got any examples of 190# DTs? It will just be be on passing downs, he'll be an animal with that quickness.

He's intriguing. With speed like that he'll at least be an asset on special teams if he makes the cut. Depending on his coverage skills, which are still unproven, he may also make for a nice situational CB. Have to keep an eye on him Monday Night.

That new No. 41 is Scorpio Babers, a rookie cornerback out of Sam Houston State who was cut by Miami last week. What’s in a name?
