The plus side isn't that it wasn't more serious. Outside chance he's back for week 1, but he should be back within a few weeks.

Impossible to guess how long he'll be out. I just hope this isn't something that lingers for him all year.

I guess Mr. Nelson will have more opportunity to prove his worth. Let's hope he is up to the task.

Ruvell's time to shine.

Unfortunate, but he should be good as new not too far into the season. If it has to happen, the position where you are strongest is the best place.

As was said, Martin and Nelson, along with maybe Smith or Swain get an opportunity with this.

Translating the article - sprain, no surg required, trying to get ready for MN. = slightly torn meniscus, will heal fine on it's own; will miss maximum of 3-6 weeks; typically a lineman will return 1-2 weeks, skill positions a little longer. Probably iffy for week 1, but OK after.

This is a valid point, Harvey. If he had torn his ACL, his season would be over.
All the Packer nation needs to be grateful the injury was not more serious.

Not too excited about this.

Rodgers to Ruvell vs Vikings - mark my words! Darn, Driver & Jennings might catch some too  Jordy might get some looks as well but Ruvell...I'd start him in fantasy in week 1.

We are deep enough at WR to handle week-to-week injuries here and there. As long as we don't start losing guys for the year, we are fine.

I don't think Jones is that much better than Martin & Nelson. Not a big deal.

Much more concern in the O and D lines.

If it has to happen, the position where you are strongest is the best place.I agree. You dont want it to happen but WR is the one spot that can handle the damage.

I will also jump on the Ruvell wagon even though it is possible Flighty Whitey can also get the job done.

You kiddin' me? JJ was a force last year and when he's played in preseason thus far. Jones has been beastin' as of late. Beastin' I say...Kinda like this....

That is fucking beastin'! New Internet term after this recent fight. Lesnar was a beast in college 104-1 then went WWE but owns punks with superior claims (JJ wasn't touted, but showed/shows massive skills) and is a force to be reckowned with...JJ is the man. What you saying Willis?
