I would think this would almost guarantee that his trial, if there is one, would occur after the season.

Jolly hearing called off, reset for Sept. 9
August 27, 2008
Green Bay Packers defensive lineman Johnny Jolly’s court date on a felony drug possession charge was called off today and an examining trial was set for Sept. 9.
Jolly, 25, was arrested in Houston for possession of at least 200 grams of codeine on July 8. He was expected to have a hearing Wednesday morning, but the proceeding was rescheduled in an “off-docket reset,” according to the Harris County District Attorney’s Office.
Jolly instead participated in the annual Green Bay Area Chamber of Commerce’s Welcome Back Packers luncheon.
An examining trial is the equivalent of a preliminary hearing in the Wisconsin courts where prosecutors must show probable cause to proceed with prosecution.
Jolly paid his $10,000 bond on July 8 and was not held but has been ordered to submit weekly, random urinalysis for drug monitoring and has been given a curfew of 7 p.m. to 7 a.m.
