MCKINNIE SUSPENDED FOUR GAMES
Posted by Mike Florio on August 29, 2008, 5:38 p.m.

The NFL has annouced that Vikings left tackle Bryant McKinnie has been suspended for the first four games of the 2008 regular season.

Presumably, the suspension is final and all appeals have been exhausted.

The suspension begins tomorrow, August 30. He’s eligible to return on September 29.

McKinnie’s penalty arises from felony charges related to his alleged decision to whack a bouncer in the head with a pole earlier this year. Though the charges haven’t been resolved, McKinnie is a repeat offender — nearly three years ago, he was doing some nasty sh-t on the Love Boat, and he eventually pleaded guilty to charges of disorderly conduct.

This is good news. T-Jack is still limping around and now his O-line has taken a MAJOR hit. Man, I can't wait for the game!

We might be missing Hawk and KGB isn't 100%. We both have our issues. Honestly, I'd rather play Tavaris than Ferrotte so I hope he makes it on the field.

...and likely James Jones and definitely Sitton. I'd mention Harrell as well but that seems silly.

First, he deserves it. Wake up call, dumbass. He's been involved in at least one incident that wasn't his fault. One that certainly was and this one may or may not have been his fault but his lack of judgement tilts my position against him.

The Vikings must have been informed earlier because in game 3 Hicks ran half time with the first team offense at left tackle. He actually played well but who knows when it's all for real.

Ras, I like that you're willing to come down on your own players when they act like idiots instead of trying to blindly defend them simply because they wear purple jerseys on game day.
