Seriously Bear Fans-

Look at this team 1st the Offense.

QB Rex Grossman is still making the same mistakes he made as a rookie, he hasn't looked comfortable since he was at Florida.
QB Kyle Orton had more freedom to throw at Purdue and hasn't progressed. When Orton has played he's been completely hamstrung by 3 yd routes.

The Offensive line is all free agents. Metcalfe never progressed. Beekman looked like a stud in college. Practice squad guys like Oakley and Reed never added anything and Reed looked better in Europe.

The Running Back position was better off in the hands of veteran Thomas Jones and Cedric Benson is another example of a player not progressing. Garrett Wolfe, Adrian Peterson, the FB from Oklahoma, no one has come in and gotten better.

TE - Olsen sure looked good at Miami. Used in a variety of ways. I'm not seeing that in Chicago where guys like Gilmore came in as a blocker and left as a blocker.

WR- Berrian stood out but the guy that hasn't progressed is Devin Hester who still looks like a KR playing WR. Mark Bradley should have been a stand out but never got better. Maybe Rashied Davis has. But that would be one position.

On defense they have a lot of system types, and there's been some improvement from say a Briggs but overall the players come in get forced into a mold and either survive or leave without a lot of progression.

Look at Mark Anderson, coming in from Alabama he was a pass rushing terror - the team broke him down to help his run defense and now he's so so as a pass rusher and a run stopper.

Look at Briggs how many teams went after this guy in Free Agency and how many saw him as a system guy who hadn't progressed.

Bazuin and Okwo had something to get them drafted but didn't progress.
Has Jamar Williams made any progress ? Is that lack of progress why the team has to pay so many of its hits big salaries ?

Imagine this team without Briggs, Urlacher, Harris, Brown, or Tillman - Other teams lose players and bring in new guys, they coach them up. How many LB's, RB's, OL-men have indy and new england lost ? and they coached guys up and had them step in.

You have to be able to do that in the free agency era. This staff - has shown it can't handle that, maybe with the exception of the DB's.

But with the exception of Tommie Harris - the line play of young players drafted into the organization has not improved, The LB play is keyed by the line and we saw a lot of running done against the bears last year.

So while Mr. Angelo may have consistently brought the wrong players in some of the blame has to go to a coaching staff that hasn't brought anyone's game up, too.

It's one of the most inexperienced staffs in football handpicked by lovie with the exception of Ron Turner. And the whole staff with the possible exception of Dave Toub and Steven Wilks should be let go.

Bad Talent and Good Coaching you have a chance (See the Neil Armstong Jack Pardee Bears) - Bad Talent and Bad Coaching and your Gibronesque.

after this season, and the top 10 pick, lets wave good-bye to JA and this entire staff with the exception of Toub and Wilks.

I am glad we don't have this problem in Green Bay. We have seen players each year make a jump in progression. This year its Hodge, Bishop, Williams, Rodgers and Jackson. Hopefully we see it in Jones too.

I think he is the assistant head coach/LB coach for the Chargers.

Yep..I have plenty of Bear fan buddies, but it all went downhill with the BS politics where they let Ron go. That is one sad roster. HAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHA all the way to the bank. 4-12.
