Hey Rats-

My wife and I had our first baby on Wednesday morning. We named her Emily Reese and she's a bundle of joy.

6lb 10oz, 19''

I'm as proud as 'chubbyhubby'. :D

And she will be watching the game with me on Monday night so she can say she's been a Packer fan ALL her life 8-)

Cheers!

Emily Reese Fosco33. It rolls trippingly from the tongue. Really, congratulations! Just remember, in 18-25 short years you'll be able to get a good night's sleep.

Just pray she doesn't show up in Skinbaskets' signature line.

Congrats, Fosco!

When she turns 5 or so, get her involved in sports--softball, soccer, basketball, etc. I had a blast coaching and/or watching my daughters play sports.

5? are you crazy? You wait that long and she'll never make the Olympics. get her into the gym at 2-3 years. And make sure you let her know that nothing short of the gold is acceptable. Kids love that stuff - they really respond well to repeated, withering, demeaning criticism.

I think it came from the peanut butter cups.

More likely from the Michael Biehn character in Terminator.

Congrats Fos!!! Looks like she took after Mama* you lucky bastard. Might as well start teaching her that boys are scumbags as early as possible.

She already has that slightly mistrusting look in that second shot. This is a good thing. Have you got her in full Packer gear yet?

Congrats and enjoy!! She won't be little for long...

Still in the hospital - but I made a onesie that has 'Bears Suck' and 'Go Pack!' on it :-)

I'll post it before gametime hopefully.

(She is also going to be a Badger Rat in the making and does have all the gear for that).

Thanks for all the kind words-

At a baby shower for one of my teacher colleagues, I gave her a Green Bay Packer onesie for the 9-12 month old range. When her daughter finally reached the age to wear it, her husband( a devout 49'er fan) bellowed, "Where the hell did that come from!?"

Then he remembered, "Oh yeah, I forgot you work with a Cheesehead." :)

Statler: “Hey, genius. What’s that baby doing in the Ratchat Forum.”
Waldorf: “Bawling, drooling and shitting her pants. Same as you.”

Statler, Waldorf and Maxie: Congrats Fosco!!

I just remembered something, Fosco.... I was at the Pro Shop last week and I saw these new picture frames. Has the Packer logo on it and says "Born to be a Packers fan". It was really cute! Great idea for a new baby!!

Also had a new arrival of wine glasses....great idea for Mom and Dad, too!

Good call Michelle. I just went online and got the frame, a bib and a little set of Packer gear for her to use on Sunday (smallest is 3-6 months so it's gonna be big on her this season).

Haha.

You're in for a fun year. (here's a hint...buy 3-6 month clothes now because she'll fit into them in about a month and a half, tops.

I'm clueless. So, manufacturers know this and don't update them?

MJZiggy

If manufacturers update them, then clueless parents will stop buying a bunch of clothes that the kid will outgrow in a couple weeks and will have to be replaced.... These little people grow up REALLY fast on you so always buy things a little big. (and smell her a lot and play with her toes...)

And that smell, it wrinkles my nose...touches, my foolish heart.

Love - ly....never ever change (those diapers).

He can change them until she is weaned. I remember one of the first ones after my son was weaned nearly knocked me on my ass.

Well, my wife works for Disney Consumer Products (Kohls, Walmart, etc) and has enough free clothes for about 5 years!

So, I think we'll be all good in buying other outfits 8-)

Ok, but the baby smelling and toe playing still stands (as well as diaper avoidance after solid foods are started)

Best of luck, Fos, with Emily. Great name for the kid, BTW! Loved the photos - she looks adorable!!!

My wife had our 2nd baby this morning! A boy, 8lbs, 20''. Yes, he's a Packer fan already 8-)

Big sis is only 10.5 months olders - so true 'irish twins'. (yes, we planned it)

Still debating a name for this one... thinking Connor James or Shane Riley.

Congrats, but I think the last baby was only 8 months ago. I thought that gestation period was a hard and fast rule. Oh well, live and learn.

Ha, they're 10.5 months apart. Since I'm on a local project, we tried about as soon as you can - and bam. rest is history.

Married people don't like to use condom or birth control...ditto, teenagers.

Condom and birth control are for college kids.

Decided on Connor James (CJ). And we tied the tubes - so no chance in a 3 for 3 8-)

How old is the person you're explaining it to? I think grandma may have figured it out by now (yes, she knows what you've been doing), but with kids it depends on the age.
