View Full Version : Rodgers' new nickname?

Can I possibly be the first to dub him AirRod?

There is already an Arod in sports, so how about we give the guy a unique one. If he keeps it up, he will deserve it.

AirRod - I like it. 8-)

Sounds a bit too much like NimRod.

The players call him A-Rod, I'm willing to stick with that until further notice.

Arod sounds better.
I think their can be 2 Arods

There are already two A-Rods in sports besides Rodgers (Alex Rodriguez and Andy Roddick)

As long as there isn't another one in the NFL I think it's okay if we call Rodgers A-Rod..I'll stick with that, although AirRod isn't bad 8-)

When he screws up, we can call him Err-Rod!

I'd say anything but the: first letter first name, first syllable last name. Really, its just J-Lo rehashed 8 billion times.

Why not just call him Rdiddy?

We're trying to minimize the "gay factor" here, Zool. Come on ...

I like old school nicknames, especially ones that 1. say where someone is from and 2. describe what the player does. How about The California Cannon?

I heard somewhere that M3 warned Rodgers to quit it with the facial hair if he wanted a chance at any high end merchandising deals.

After all, can you really imagine A-Rod Jeremy plugging pepsi?

'Air Rod' gets my vote.

No votes:

'The guy who played QB after Brett Favre' - I am sick of hearing this one (it is at least implied)

'ARod' - too many of them

'Mr. Rodgers' - not very tough

Air Rod seems perfect. We should go on a mission to spread the nickname.

I think Alex Rodriguez already earned that one.

I'll chip in with TDRod--a takeoff on KRod for strikeouts.

Yeah, I know it's lame, but then this whole thread is pretty lame.

Based on his great scambling skills so far might I suggest "Rodger the Dodger."

Air Rod sounds whacked. Never want to refer to your rod in a strange way.

The NFL has no ARod. It has a good ring. Rodgers can even come out on a commercial with the other "ARods" fighting about who deserves the name.

I don't like Arod because it just reminds me of the stupid Yankees.

But at the same time, how many Quarterbacks in this league have nicknames? How many of them are the really good ones?
