Tampa Bay and Chicago are already off to an unfriendly start. Shoving all-around.

Lance Briggs catches a tipped ball for an INT.

Man, I just replaced Kitna w/C. Taylor @ the flex position in my million $ fanball league. Hope it doesn't bite me in the ass.

BallHawk

Robbie Gould kicks a FG to make it 3-0. Shoving follows the kick once again.

Wouldn't be surprised if this game sees an ejection or two.

BallHawk

A flag for taunting and more shoving after the kickoff.

This could be a rough FF week for me... is AP even playing?

EDIT - yes, AP is playing

A flag for taunting and more shoving after the kickoff.

Jesus.

Funny how much shoving around right in the beginning of the game. Bears D didn't look strong at all on that last drive when TB scored. 7-6 TB

My choices for early games - Chicago or MN....ugh!

Pacopete4
09-21-2008, 12:49 PM
Minnesota's offense is just horrible woweeee.... they might have the most talented offensive player in the league and they cant move the ball haha

BallHawk
09-21-2008, 12:52 PM
Gus rockin' a 16.3 passer rating so far....

Pacopete4

RashanGary
09-21-2008, 01:09 PM
Watching Orton, Jackson, Frerotte and Kitna sure makes you appreciate Aaron Rodgers. It also makes you appreciate TT holding firm on not just releasing Brett FAvre to one of these losers.

I've been busy with other things but as soon as I started watching I noticed three runs by three different QB's and zero slides. If the only mistake Rodgers made is holding the ball too long once and not sliding once I would say he is doing a tremendous job so far.

Pacopete4
09-21-2008, 01:14 PM
boy it'd sure be nice if NY took a loss today.. always helps for later in the season

RashanGary

Man, Rodgers has to stay healthy though. It looks like we're going to be relying on the QB more than any team in our division and our rookies cannot be even close to Rodgers right now.

Next year I think we could be looking great at QB. Right now we're just hopeing Rodgers stays healthy.

ya that would be good pete.

i have three little games goin on right now on my screen.

AP is getting no carries in MN it seems.. this drive he's got a couple.

raiders are punching the bills in the mouth on both sides of the ball.

miami is running this spread offense with ronnie broewn at QB, penn split out and running it with hand offs to wiliams or direct runs with brown. patriots cant figure it out.. dolphins just scored again. ronnie brown 3tds !!!!

RashanGary
09-21-2008, 01:17 PM
Typical Bears. Gimmick their way into a couple extra points. Why do I doubt them turning this into 7? Probably because their offense and QB suck balls.

Watching other teams helps me to gauge what we have. I guess I relate our team to other teams as they play. It gives perspective to where we are at.

Yeah. They're a bad offensive TEAM. Orton is not very sure of himself though. It's like that team just plays scared and when they did finally take a shot it should have been a TD and it was a INT.

Pacopete4
09-21-2008, 01:26 PM
Its like the bears are happy with scrapping out games and hoping their O doesn't lose it for them because it never seems like they try to change anything

Its like the bears are happy with scrapping out games and hoping their O doesn't lose it for them because it never seems like they try to change anything

For sure. Lovie seems to really hold their QB's back. McCarthy has given the game to a first year QB and really asked him to win the game by passing over 300 yds and 3 TD's. Lovie just seems to believe defense and ST's can do it. It works out well for them in bad weather, but damn, you have to be more than a godo bad weather team to win the SB. You have to have some balance and you have to pass the ball to really score points.

haha. That's nice that you picked a guy in the division that scores points by the opposition stalling in the redzone.

I just put Sidney Rice on my bench thinking Frerotte will be able to do some decent things with that dominate running back and over commited safeties. IT's kind of wierd hoping for the Vikings to do something well.

Yup. That was the last game that NE lost actually... the irony...

The Raiders look like a real football team with Ryan as coach... they're smackin the Bills around pretty hard. Just scored a TD after some pounding on the ground with McFadden & Bush. Russell on the sneak.

NE just scored... Gaffney from Cassell... Matt is gettin banged around quite a bit by Porter and crew still tho.

Bears D/ST's looks good and their O didn't do anything stupid early in the game and wore them down late in the game.

Just got back from the Vikings game. Vikings defense is really playing some inspired football. Front four terrorized the QB all day.

Frerotte played OK....nothing special but he did something Jackson wasn't. He got Carolina out of the 8 and 9 man in the box routine. The Colts played all run last week and AD put up 160. Today with a sore hammy and splitting time with Taylor he got 77 so I have higher hopes for their offense going forward. They aren't in Green Bay's class offensively but if they can improve just a bit more they will be in every game going forward.

Philly has been outstanding on defense. Pittsburgh has no answer for their blitz packages.

It could go either way. I'm thinking Philly has the edge becasue they seem to have the time of possession in their favor and they're winning right now.

So is McFlurry.. what a great game if u like hard nosed football!

it kinda impresses me though that the Dallas line didn't let anyone touch Romo and now Philly looks like they cant be blocked

I know

I'm a little scared right now. I watched both games and what I learned is that Dallas has an amazing offensive line. Truely amazing.

Their center hasn't sustained a block all day. If your center is being regularly beat 1 on 1, you have some major issues.

isn't center one of our problems on the Oline with Wells hurt?

I don't think so. I think the center got better and the RG got worse with Wells down.

Yea, it looked that way. If the ball had not been deflected it sure looked close to intentional grounding.

I don't like that call.

edit: He was definately down. A safety is the right call.

Well, anything can happen here. Ben has to get those hits outi of his head and make the throws. They have a chance.

DeShawn Jackson is a delicate flower but a pretty dynamic player.

I thought Asante Samuel was a product of the system and maybe overrated.

I may have been wrong. His cover skills remind me a lot of Woodson's.
