Oh my! The passing of a great actor.

His movie Cool Hand Luke was my favorite movie of his career.

If some of you younger posters have not seen it, you need to rent it.

Yesterday, I was talking to a 29 year old guy about movies. While he liked some of the classic Clint Eastwood movies, he claimed he had never seen a John Wayne movie.

He was a veritable Tim Russert among actors.

He did have a few good movies in his younger days--before turning into a sick leftist political activist.

I ask everybody to not even bother responding to this. It's not worth the time.

Cool Hand Luke is a great movie. Weirdly, I only saw it two days ago and now Paul Newman dies. RIP.

Actually, nobody did except for you, BH.

They would. It's a preemptive strike. I didn't want another Tim Russert thread.

The Newman's own popcorn (NOT the microwave popcorn...the jar stuff) was the best.

May he rest in peace and hopefully the mission of the food company lives on. As long as it does, I will buy their products. At least as long as they make a killer tomato basil sauce.
