Born again Raiders head coach Art Shell was curious about how good is rookie DB Michael Huff. To find out, Shell did not only play Huff at CB during the Raiders' mini-camp last week, but also gave him the assignment of covering All-Pro WR Randy Moss man-to-man.

Like he did as an All-American at Texas, Huff excelled. By the end of the camp Moss was a frustrated man.

"Thank, God, I won't have to play against Huff when the games matters," said Moss.

The Raiders are extremely happy with Huff today. But that wasn't the case at this years' draft. Owner/GM Al Davis had his eyes on Huff's Texas teammate, QB Vince Young, and would do almost anything to acquire the Rose Bowl MVP. Knowing that the Tennessee Titans would take Young if he's available at the 3rd spot, Davis tired madly to acquire the #2 overall pick from the Saints. According to a source close to the Raiders, Davis offered the Saints his whole draft, a la Mike Ditka. But the Saints refused to deal unless Davis include a top 5 pick.

Davis then turned to the Green Bay Packers. He dialed Packers GM Ted Thompson's number and, knowing that star WR Javon Walker was disgruntled with the Packers, offered to trade Moss and the 7th overall pick to the Packers for Walker and the Packers #5, a 4th round pick and a 2007 conditional pick. Thompson stubbornly turned Davis down.

That prompt Davis to call Thompson an "embarrassment" to the NFL.

"Here is a GM who took over a Brett Favre-led team, a team capable of contending for the Super Bowl, and turned it into shit," Said Davis. "I offered Moss. Who would turn down Randy Moss? Only an idiot like Ted Thompson."

Chill, Mr. Davis. You have Mike Huff to cheer you up.

Tank,

Why you want to trade for Moss, when he can't even beat a rookie CB?

Tank,

Why you want to trade for Moss, when he can't even beat a rookie CB?

Does Michael Huff play for a NFC North team? How many Michael Huff is out there? Is Moss better than all of our WRs? Try anwsering those 3 questions and you will see why I want Randy Moss to be a Packer.

Then Davis offered to trade Aaron Brooks and Warren Sapp for Brett Favre, but Thompson declined. The Raiders all called Thompson a "disgrase to the league."

Everyone knows your posts are a bunch of nonsensical trolls.

You might wanna learn to spell if creating phony news articles are your new trolling strategy.

Thanks for reminding everybody how much you spammed for the Packers to draft the bust safety, Michael huff,

In all fairness, Tank did spout this ridiculous nonsense in June of 2006, but we all knew that. There's no reason to drag this up to point out that Tank's methods are ridiculous and childish. Really, the only reason to drag it up is to point out that he wasn't exactly correct in his predictions. Moss was terrible last year, and Huff wasn't special.
