Milwaukee, WI. — A beastly bear bit and clawed a hunter who had just shot it four times in what he thought would make it lie down and die for an upcoming game. Authorities said appeared to be a first for the state.
Brett Favre, of the Green Bay Packers said he was approaching the downed Grizzly bear in Soldier Field on Chicago Illinois lake front establishment Sunday; the first day of what he thought was bear-hunting season, when it came after him.

Favre, of Missippi, had been bear hunting the past 12 years with great success and always came out unscathed, but this time was different. After unloading his .444-caliber rifle ammo into the big grizzly Favre was sure he was dead and approached him to collect the carcass when he noticed that this grizzly opening one eye and had a slight grin on its face…THE BEAR WAS PLAYING POSSUM!! He turned to run, but the bear put a claw around his hip and bit him twice, once in each arm, before taking a firm grasp around his upper torso and tossing him in the air as to say “ how it feels to be tortured now bea!!!tch? “ . Favre hunting companions tried to save him but to no avail. Each time they tried to protect him from the menacing wrath of the bear they were given head slaps until they were all unconscious while Favre could be heard yelling “thatÃ¢à ‚¬â„¢s not legal!!” in which the bear would then give him a confused look and commence on thrashing him even more than before. The Bear eventually let him go after he had his way with him and watched him crawl bloodied and beaten outside of the Soldier field confines.
“The bear wasn't even attacking at 100 percent. I mean really, it could have did a lot worse to me than it did. I think it felt sorry for me. If it would have been put 100 percent into attacking me I wouldn't be able to tell this story to you all right now” Favre said Monday.

Other hunters nearby in the National Forest Land of the North heard growls and figured a mauling was taking place that they wanted no part of. One hunter was recalled as saying “ââ⠚¬Â¦I ran across that bear before and barely got away with my life, who in da hell am I to try and help another? ...now excuse me, I have a boat to catch”.

A close friend that was with Favre, John Madden, was too afraid to get out of his custom made bus. But he was able to provide so commentary to us as to what happened. “The bear was unstoppable that day. Brett wasn’t prepared to face an animal of this nature. It's like he came alive, like 'BOOM!' When Brett ran to the left the bear caught him and BAM! See what Brett should have did was roll to his right but I don’t think that would have worked either cuz that bear just seemed to be everywhere. I mean the bear even ate the horse that pulls my horse trailer!“ After saying all of that, Madden said that it wasn’t Brett’s fault as to why he get mauled. If the other hunters would have sacrificed their selves Brett wouldn’t be going through this.”

Game commission bear specialist Paul Tagliabue, said this type of mauling obviously means the bears are not open to being hunted any longer in the state of Illinois. He advised that all hunters find some other game this haunting season. “Lions seem very easy to hunt these days” said Paul. The attack was the first case known to state officials in which a bear had attacked a hunter who was so successful killing them in the past.

Favre was released from the hospital after about several hours of Hunter withdrawal therapy “ how could I let this happen? I am a bear killer” he cried.

The Bears fans have come out of their 20 years of hiding. Maybe a litte premature because your team is incredibly overrated.

Last year the Bears defeated

Detroit
Minnesota (once)
Baltimore
Detroit
New Orleans
San Francisco
Carolina (THIS ONE WAS IMPRESSIVE)
Tampa Bay
Green Bay
Atlanta
Green Bay

Before getting Bounced in the first round of the playoffs. Geez looking at all those great wins how could anybody think the Bears are overrated ? Green Bay gets back to full strength and they have a chance. Minnesota has a chance. Not sure if I think Detroit has a chance yet..........but none of these teams are elite, despite what the Bear Lovers would like us to believe.

The Bears look an awful lot like a 7-9 team.

Good point, but they were also playing a rook at qb all season. They were also beat up with Benson and Brown missing. They may be overrated some, but they are a good team none the less. All signs point to this being there year, because after this the window will be closed. No way can they fit Briggs and Vasher under the cap if they both have big years, and since its both of their contract years, I have a hunch they will.

I thought the cap was going up another 4-5mil next season? They might be able to keep them actually.

This year Chicago plays

@GB
Detoilet
Minnesota
Seattle
Buffalo
@Arizona
SF
Miami
@NYG
@NYJ
@NE
Minn
@St Louis
Tampa
@Detoilet
GB

Take out Miami, NYG and the Pats, and they dont have a very tough schedule. Their 3 game roadtrip to the East Coast is interesting though.

If they win in GB week one and then win 3 of the next 4 in Soldiers Field, they will probably run away with the division. If we can beat them week one that might kill some confidence and they go 2-2 on the home stand.

On a side note, why do we have to go to Philly every damned year? Its getting old.

I know, it's just like in the 90's when we had to go to Dallas every flippin' year. Aargh!

Also, how does Chicago get Tampa in Chicago in December AGAIN? Thought that the games were supposed to alternate between division winners...or maybe because of the NFC North facing the NFC South last year...it's too complex for me to figure out.

BTW, love "Detoilet".

I thought with the division re-alignment that there was supposed to be more balance. For instance - GB goes to Seattle after hosting Seattle like 3x in a row (One was a playoff so that shouldn't count).

Going into philly again blows chunks.
