Here we go!!

Did you know....

**Aaron Rodgers is going for his fourth game in a row with two or more touchdown passes.

**Donald Driver has a reception in 101 consecutive games, the second-longest streak in team history (Sterling Sharpe, 103).

**In the past five games, Nick Collins has three interceptions

**....and Charles Woodson has four.

**Tramon Williams is going for a fourth straight game with an interception.

GO PACK!!!!

The Packers play a little bit lose with their "consecutive games" streaks for player performances. Neither Jennings nor Driver had a reception against the Lions in the last regular season game last year. Both were on the game-day inactive list. The Packer do not consider that to have interrupted their strings of consecutive games with a reception.

If either had been injured in game 2 and missed the next 8 weeks due to that, being a game day inactive each week, would their consecutive streaks for receptions remain?

He was not activated yesterday. I think they have until 1:00 today to activate him off the PUP list and make him available for Sunday.

If the Packers cannot put out a consistent pass rush against Peyton Manning, he will pick the Packers' defense apart! This may be the deciding factor in the game, IMO.

Two things could happen:

(A) We get blown out

(B) We win narrowly.

The Colts are worse against the run defensively than we are. Ryan Grant could have a breakout game this week. We definitely want to get him going so we can keep the ball on the ground, keep the clock running, and keep the ball out of Peyton's hands. If we can do that, I think there's a good chance we could win this one convincingly.

I agree with you in concept, however the strength of the ravens defense is their run defense, and the Colts destroyed them with the passing offense with Addai being hurt.

However, you could make an argument that if the Packers have a strength on Defense right now it's in the secondary. That being said, I don't think it's enough to bring home a victory.

I'm not as pessimistic as you guys are. These two teams are fairly evenly matched. Both have a strong group of receivers, a struggling run game, and a defense that has been hobbled by injuries. So, from my point of view this could go either way.

If we can make Peyton uncomfortable in the pocket, we should be able to win this one. This might require some new blitz schemes, but they've had a couple prepared for the last couple of weeks that they haven't used yet. Manning is the lone weapon in the Colts offense, so if we interrupt him we should be able to win.

Secondly, if this is going to be a shoot out, we'll need to control the time of possession. Our run game has been better than theirs this season, so we have a good chance to accomplish this. If we keep Manning off the field for most of the game, the Colts D will crumble.

So, I think we have decent shot of winning. As long as no one screws up, the Packers will win.

Good info is right! I was just going to ask where we rank as far as INTs go and decided to just not be lazy and look it up myself.

We have 11 picks on the season which ties us with Tampa Bay for the NFL lead. Tramon and Collins have been the difference this year. Woodson, we've already known he's a ballhawk...

Way to get the trend started, 007....let's keep it going with a big win tomorrow. Maybe I'm feeling overly optimistic, but I have a feeling that we're going to see the Packers play their best football that they have all year. I see a big win... 41-20 Packers.

Doesn't look like it. They would have had to put someone on IR by 3 PM today if they are activating Harrell, and there hasn't been any report of it. Looks like Pickett is ready to go, which would reduce the need to rush Harrell back after less than a week of practice. http://www.jsonline.com/story/index.aspx?id=807426

Who is to say he hasnt called up the Colts and done the same thing. He had had a week off last week to chat it up with the Packers upcoming teams.

I mentioned this in anouther thread, but if this is indeed true why would he only call the Lions. The Cowboys really had our number

Well, that tells me that M3 has no confidence in our run game to have QB sneaks like that.

He ran Grant 33 times last week, and most plays in that opening drive were run plays. I think he just realizes that the easiest way to get 1 yard is to run the QB between the center and guard. 1 yard is almost guaranteed.

Gotta take advantage of those penalties (weak PF) and lucky bounces (and hustle by Hall).

Grant has gotta stem these fumbles. He's been running harder the last 5 quarters though.

I'll take the 3 and scoring on opening drive.

Let's hope Manning makes a few mistakes....

Hmmm - quite the call by M3 (I like the aggressiveness) - but execution... execution.

I saw in another chatroom that Reggie Bush tore his ACL...anyone heard? RUMORS OF SEASON-ENDING INJURY FOR BUSH PREMATURE
Posted by Mike Florio on October 19, 2008, 4:44 p.m.

As rumors circulate that Saints running back Reggie Bush’s knee injury might end his season, a source tells us that any such conclusion is premature.

That said, the extent of the damage is currently unknown. The knee will be examined more closely, as soon as Sunday night.

We’re told that, as of now, Bush doesn’t believe that the injury is serious.

I bet the Colts adjust and we need to come back with a completely different scheme in 2nd half. Indy is has a fast but small front seven, so they are always better against the screen than running up the middle.

All these screens early are just to set up some cut backs in the second half.

Well, if you are headed towards the north end zone and there is a 25 MPH northwest wind, the wind is at your back and cutting across the field at the same time. That's why I asked if it was directly at his back or not.
