Did Lendale White really outrun Atari Bigby or was that my imagination ?
It happened...Bigby got burnt by a fat ass.
He took a bad angle. He didn't get outrun, he was chasing from the other side of the field and took a bad angle.
It was a bad angle; but he sure didn't look list he was picking up any ground either

Kyle Orton looks like he's in some pretty serious pain after he takes a big hit on third and two.
As I type this, it doesn't look like he's going to be returning to the game anytime soon.
This means Rex Grossman will get the ball in the second half. Bears fans throughout the country just all threw up a little bit.

Things are actually settling down for me on the domestic/divorce front so I actually plan on sitting down and watching the game today... really haven't relaxed and watched a full game "Packer Sunday" style in a couple of years.
I'll be watching the Haynesworth vs Wells/Colledge match up... fully excpet Wells and Colledge to be deposited into Rodgers's lap on a regular basis. To counter that, I expect the Packers to try to run wide a lot, stretch plays, get Haynesworth running laterally, try to tire him out as the game wears on. Don't think it will work though, the Packers simply aren't good enough up front.
On defense, their OL vs our DL... the Packers last two opponents have been finesse teams. Tennessee is a power team - even with a backup QB, I expect them to run the ball pretty effectively against the Packers.
For the Packers, this game will be lost in the trenches.
speaking of the trenches wist, am curious to what you think on the blog I posted. I even referenced you in it.
Which one bret??? I missed it...

Good call to try and go for one there on 2nd and 2 - a little overthrown and inside into double coverage (not good execution).
Tough when you don't capitalize off a decent drive - need to get that pick back quickly. Either a turnover or 3rd/out or punt.

Defense steps up yet again. How long can Tenn's D hold up??
The amazing thing is, they're coming off a short week and they're beat up. I'd hate to play them when they're fresh.

Outpunted the gunners and gave up 21 yard return (39 net)... Need 45 yards for a legit FG to tie but a nice 70 yard, clock churner to go up by the magic number 4....

Usually when you get a few good runs early, it gets easier. That's not working here. Just as I type that Grant runs for 15.

MM's playcalling is much better today. I like that they're sticking with the run here and not pushing the panic button. Was just going to say before Grant's nice run there that sooner or later they're going to break through.

Another fan's description on Favre pick 6...
Pick 6 number two today. This one by Jabari Greer. The Bills run man to man coverage and Brett Favre throws an out and up ball with a little too much air under it and it allows Greer to step in front and take this one back to the endzone. Favre also takes a nasty hit immediately after the release and walks off the field a little gingerly. Favre is a tough guy so I think he will be fine and back on the field next drive, but it was a hard enough hit that if it were Marc Bulger, I wouldn't be so sure.

Great snap, hold, kick straight and true.
Anyone's game now...
How about that INT - or a fumble/sack? Give us the chance to drive down for a game winning kick? Just need to play solid D (nothing different). Then be patient on offense and get chance to win or force OT...

It would be about a 60 yard attempt... We know Mase has the leg. And Frost kicked a 55 yard punt in that direction, so assuming he has the wind at his back do we let him try it?
Rastak
11-02-2008, 02:54 PM
mason for 60??

no, if they try a fg and miss from 60 then they only have to go about 15 yards to be in fg range for the winner

Fosco33
11-02-2008, 02:55 PM
Jeez - you have to punt this ball... but then play D for the chance at OT.
That no call on Jennings was very questionable... We could be sitting up 7 and playing D for the win/tie...
Past is the past - still have a shot at a pick or a quick 3/out.
Nice, put them inside the ten Frost (lucky though - prob didn't want to muff it). The shadows are messed up on that side of the field.
