MATT JONES FIRES BACK AT PORTER

On Wednesday, Dolphins linebacker Joey Porter implied (sort of) that Broncos receiver Brandon Marshall is gay.

On Thursday, the latest target of Porter’s mouth (receiver Matt Jones of the Jaguars), returned fire.

“I don’t know why [Porter] is even thinking about me,” Jones said. “I mean, maybe he likes other men and sits up and thinks about stuff, so I don’t know.”

Gee, we wonder why Esera Tuaolo never came out of the closet during his playing career.

Meanwhile, here’s a PFTV segment addressing the crux of Peezy’s complaint about the fact that Jones has yet to be suspended in the wake of his arrest for cocaine possession. As usual, Porter is misinformed.

Agreed. This shit is hella funny and even more funny reading the quotes (comments) on the ESPN board when this shit goes up daily.

Porter's an asshole, yes, but there is nothing worse than a shit-talking asshole talking shit to you, then delivering. Porter has been delivering again and again all year.

I respect the guy cuz he is a bad-ass dude that doesn't fray from speaking his mind, yet delivering big plays or backing his mouth up. Did he not go after some lineman from Cincy who was billed at 6'6" 340 at a blackjack table in Vegas the last year and slap the shit out of him? Shows balls, definitely not character, yet if he can do it, why say he's the bad one? His quotes are hilarious, and as long as Miami is winning and he's leading the league with a ridiculous 11 and 1/2 sacks as a LB, so be it.

Matt Jones is a coke fiend bitch who hasn't done shit in the NFL, or sniffed success as a player. Too make lame remarks questioning Porter's manhood is ESPN fodder and too funny to read about. Good stuff though as it's a fun read.

Witness Describes Joey Porter Fight As Something Out Of 'Rocky'

Former Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker Joey Porter was accused of punching Cincinnati Bengals lineman Levi Jones after police said the players exchanged trash talk at a blackjack table in Las Vegas this weekend.

Porter was issued a summons on a misdemeanor battery charge after the Sunday altercation that began inside the Palms hotel-casino, Las Vegas police said.

"They went outside. In the valet area, one struck the other, causing a small laceration above the eye," said Officer Martin Wright, calling the injury minor.

"We have determined that he (Jones) did not sustain any serious injuries," Bengals spokesman Jack Brennan said. "Other than that, it's just not something that warrants any comment."

On Tuesday, witness Dave Benz came forward, describing the fight as something out of a "Rocky" movie.

"They were throwing down," said Benz. "They must have each gotten in a good three or four swings. Then all of a sudden, the bigger guy who I found out later was Levi Jones, picked up Joey Porter and tossed him probably 10 feet like he was a rag doll."

Benz said there was about 10 seconds where people broke the fight up, but said Porter broke loose and went after Jones again.

"Joey Porter broke free and ran full sprint at Levi Jones and dove through the air at him like he was trying to tackle Ladanian Tomlinson. Took him down with a tackle, then the two of them got up. They were throwing fists again. It sounded like a 'Rocky' movie."

Benz said Porter later kicked Jones in the head, causing some bleeding.

Benz said the whole incident started when Porter confronted Jones while he was playing poker.

Porter signed a five-year, $32 million deal with the Miami Dolphins earlier this month.

"We will monitor the situation and refrain from making any further comment until we gather more information," Dolphins coach Cam Cameron said.

Wright said a written police investigation and report won't be complete until at least the end of the week.

I dont' know what you've been smoking but Jones had 36 receptions and 5 tds in his rookie year. He had 41 and 4 tds and led the team in receptions last year. This year he has 45 receptions and over 500 yards.

He plays for a team that has a run first, conservative offense..and one that has had QB issues.

He isn't all world, but he is certainly a solid receiver and on pace this year for a 1000 yards.
