How much do we predict Jared Allen's late helmet-to-helmet hit is gonna set his paycheck back?

How much do we predict Jared Allen's late helmet-to-helmet hit is gonna set his paycheck back?Ill say 20K. But I don't think he even cares.

He'll still be able to get drunk with the remainder of his paycheck.

I wonder if players can be suspended after too many occurrences.

They need to start suspending players for that.

$35,000 for a chance to KO the opponents QB in a close game? At his salary? Most players would decline to make the hit out of a sense of fairness. He's obviously not really opposed to taking a cheap shot... so where's the deterrent?

I don't think it was that dirty. Maybe a little late... maybe.

Whatever it is, I bet his teammates and coaches will chip in to pay it.

But the guy's contract is paying him a little over $30 million over the next two years. I'm thinking he'll be able to politely decline the gesture from his teammates and pay this out of petty cash.

The ball was gone and it was a helmet-to-helmet hit. The kind that give QB's concussions.

I was looking downfield so I didn;t see it and they never show any damn replays at the dome. Was it a bad hit?

Also, I think he's been sober for almost 3 years.

Led with his helmet. Made helmet to helmet contact.

The ball has just left. He didn't hit him hard. There were far worse hits in the game imo.

it doesn't matter how hard the hit was... it was HELMET TO HELMET... you can't do that to a QB

i don't make the rules... better yet, ask why the refs call an illegal forward pass when the qb is in front of the line of scrimmage

Which I think is a stupid rule. Collins had two helmet to helmet hits today and won't get fined for either.

they said during the game that the nfl would be watching him and that he could be suspended if he does anything else

i wonder if this would count

Didn't somebody (Roy Williams?) get suspended a game for repeated horse collars?

I would think no, except he led with the helmet so that might change things. Interesting question though...
