When looking back at the Packers offense the past few weeks, it has been deceiving in the amount of points they've put up:
Dallas: 16 total points.
13 of them were offensively earned, 3 were a result of a long interception return that we could not convert. 0 points through the air.
Tampa: 21 total points.
14 of them were offensively earned. Woodson returned an INT for a TD in this game. Rodgers had two TDs, but 3 INTs in a pretty bad performance. Grant rushed for 20 yards on 15 carries for a stellar 1 and 1/3 yard per carry average
Atlanta: 24 total points.
All 24 of the points were earned. Aaron played a pretty decent game through the air.
Seattle: 27 total points.
27 earned points against one of the worst teams in the league at this point.
Indy: 34 total points.
20 points offensively earned against a pretty bad defensive team.
Tennesee: 16 total points.
16 points earned in a game in which we moved the ball very well.
Minnesota: 27 total points.
10 earned points offensively in an abysmal performance.
Points per game earned offensively: 14.86, or 15.
That is just more than two offensive touchdowns per game. I don't think this is enough offensive points to consistently win.

Every point we ever get is earned by someone...
That said, the Bears went to the Superbowl on defensive scoring and look back at the Pack SuperBowl win and see how many special teams points were scored. It's good when the D and ST score points for you, especially when the offense struggles. That's why its a team.

decent movie
Bill Michels just made a great point on WTMJ....We're doing all the little things to be a winning team. Scoring on defense, scoring on special teams. We have had issues defensively in the running game, but for the most part our defense has ran a bend but don't break defense.
We just don't do the basics very well right now.

That's obvious. You still need to score offensively, though. Our defense is a turnstyle. Comarping us to the Bears of 2006 is downright laughable.

If the point total for your TEAM is higher than the point total for the other TEAM, I don't care how they came. Our secondary is picking off a lot of balls, last week notwithstanding and they were a whisper away from taking this game with them too. Does the offense need work? Sure. But if the D is keeping us in games, more power to 'em.

Too bad we won't be playing against Gus Ferotte every week...

Yeah but its not like this is the only game this year where we had multiple picks. Even against Peyton Manning we had 2 returned for TD's. Too bad we don't play against Peyton Manning every week....

He's been ok the last few weeks but he didn;t play too well today. Packers got a decent rush which didn't help.

Cmon now. there are 3 or 4 QB's that have served up TD returns to our defensive backs already this year. It wasn't just a fluke against an old washed up QB. Our defensive backs have shown themselves to be consistent playmakers. I would expect them to continue to make plays consistently, regardless who the opposing QB is.

which is a reflection of bad coaching along with penalties, but we are stuck with them now I doubt Murphy will do anything to a coach who is extended for 5 years or the guy who gave him the extension. MM should thank Childress for being a bigger dumbass or they would have won by 30 points why he passed the ball when purple Jesus could have had 400 yds on the ground is beyond me!
