View Full Version : Is This Weeks Game A Must Win?

I'm not sure what I think. On one hand, coaches typically say 10-6 should get you into the playoffs. On the other, our division is very competitive and I think the winner will end up 9-7, but if we don't win this week best case scenario that I can imagine is a tie for first.

What do you think?

This week just like last week and every week.

The Pack pretty much have to go at least 5-2 to finish the season to have a shot at the division and the playoffs. Given how big division games are I think we have to sweep Chicago to give ourselves a chance with the tiebreaker scenarios.

So yes, this is a must win, IMO.

It's a must win only because it's against the Bears. We could lose another game or two, but if we don't sweep the Bears I don't think we could wrestle this division away from them (barring a meltdown in Chicago).

Pretty much a must win. If they lose, they are two games down with only 6 remaining. Certainly not impossible, but starts to get difficult.

In the other thread about what record it will take, I said they couldn't really afford to be less than 2-1 in the 3 games with MN and Chicago. I will stick with that.

I say hell yea this is a must win. I thought Sundays game was too in respect to making the playoffs and winning the division. The NFC wildcards wont be going to the NFC North this year so gotta win the div to get in.

For the first time this year, they are facing a must win. If they lose to the Bears, they are down 2 games with 6 to go, and still have to go to Chicago. Plus, won/loss record in the division could end up deciding the division winner, so all division games are crucial, especially following the loss to the Vikings.

A definite 'yes' from here too. it's a must to be able to move on.

all the games are must wins. our division is so shitty 8-8 might win it. the Packers have got to get their offensive shit together soon. AR is being hung out to dry with the 5 wr and empty backfield sets. the run is starting to work now so using the shot-gun too much is getting him extra pressure too because play-action isn't used.

Yes. It looks like we have to sweep Chicago, beat Detroit, and split the other four games. If we do that, 9-7 looks pretty good to win the division. Minnesota could go 10-6, but it will be tough for them to do that with their schedule and the possible suspensions of Kevin and Pat Williams. If we sweep Chicago, they'd need to go 5-0 in their other 5 games to get to 10-6.

Sweeping Chicago is the key to playoff chances.

For sure. They have to win on Sunday to have a realistic chance at the post season.

I hate the expression "must win game", but this is one of the few times I think it's true. I don't think the NFCN is likely to get one of the two wild card berths, and being two games behind the Bears and needing to beat them in the second game just to even out the tiebreaker if they lose--tough row to hoe there...yes, I'd be willing to call Sunday a must-win game for the Packers.

Yes, they definitely have to win this one.

They could get by with a tie, so it's not a must win game.

Would you agree it is a "must not lose" game?

we need to beat the bears at home. I think we would be looking to next year this time next week if we dont.

A division rival on your own turf is one you should be doing your damnedest to win regardless of the standings.

If the packers win and the vikings lose (which is very possible to the bucs)...

Everyone could end up being 5-5 (except the Lions)...
